Workshops on inclusion and accessibility in secondary schools of Rosario

Date:
Thursday, August 23, 2018

During the months of June and July of 2018, the "Educational Accessibility" Project was implemented. Volunteer students and teachers of the UNR participated in visits to five secondary schools in order to combat stereotypes against disability and raise awareness about the existence of support structures for students with disabilities in the University.
The visit consisted in the development of central concepts, the presentation of existing services at the University and then a practical exercise, through which videos were projected, groups were formed and from a slogan the students expressed their perceptions and conclusions about what was seen during the activity.
The impact of the activity has been considered positive, both by the UNR team and by the members of the schools visited. During its development, new visits were added and the proposal to replicate the experience the following year, due to the level of demand generated by this first implementation and the positive repercussions that it has achieved.
