Open Day in UCOL: III Conference "Open doors to inclusion ” in Manzanillo

This event was organized by the Center for the Development of University Family (CEDEFU), directed by Alicia López de Hernández. At the beginning of the event, the director of Welfare Assistance, Carlos Enrique Tene, representing Alicia López de Hernández, said that these activities are carried out within the framework of the International Project MUSE and the Institutional Program of Quality of Life to strengthen the inclusion of students with disabilities. The delegate of Manzanillo, Edna Irela Velázquez Chávez, and directors of the participant schools were present.
In the event, various activities were carried out: a panel organized by the Accounting and Administration Faculty of Manzanillo, in which aspects related to the importance of inclusion were touched upon and which included the presence of people living with disabilities, either as students, graduates or teachers. As special guests, it was attended by students from Bachillerato 2, who showed an application on a tablet or cell phone whose cursor can be handled with the eyes and is ideal for people with severe motor disability. The prototypes of the Faculty of Electromechanical Engineering were also highlighted.
