Students at the Jean Piaget school were invited by Alicia Lopez to sing the National Anthem in Sign Languageat the CLXIX Anniversary of the heroic acts of the Niños Héroes de Chapultepec. They were accompanied by Universidad de Colima students who sang out loud.  Lopez remarked that "these actions raise awareness amongst the university community, and that way we can keep progressing in this initiative" [translated from the article]. She continued to explain the importance of U de Colima´s participation in MUSE and more importantly, how students involvement is crucial: "students forge a huge link for MUSE beyond the university classrooms, as they enter the workforce having had participated in activities to raise awareness about the development of students with disabilities" [translated from the article].
